To the Pine View Weevil Watchers of 2004-2005: Greetings to a most wonderful group of scientists! I would like to thank each and every one of you for the splendid work you did in Myakka River State Park this past year! The data you've collected will be of invaluable help in our effort to save the bromeliads. It was great fun meeting with you in the field, as well as in the classroom. You all are so knowledgeable about bromeliads, weevils, insects, and other neat animals! You did a fine job rearing the weevils that I left with you. The adults that emerged are now back with the colony they had originally come from and we will continue to use them in our pursuit to discover more about the weevil. Over the summer, I will continue to work with getting your data up on the Web, so please check it out at a later time. Also, if you notice any weevil infestations on bromeliads around your house, or at a park, or near your school, or wherever you may be, please drop me a line and let me know about it. Congratulations for making it through another year of school! I hope you continue to find such enjoyment in learning! Cheers!
